The BioPharmaceutical Analytics Unveiled virtual event explored key analytical advancements for the manufacture of pDNA and RNA, and the latest tools and approached being applied to the characterization of delivery systems such as LNPs and AAV. Explore this interactive event summary for case study data, expert Q&As, speaker soundbites, and analytical tool demonstrations covering four areas:
- Session 1 highlighted the crucial role of analytics in optimizing pDNA yield and purity, with insights on achieving an eight-fold increase in yield, with high-resolution analysis
- Session 2 featured a specialist nucleic acids CDMO’s application of real-time monitoring of IVT reactions to increase process efficiency, and inform the use of Design of Experiments in IVT optimization – including at-line monitoring of mRNA production kinetics
- In Session 3, Dr Dan Peer from NeoVac led a discussion around LNP characterization and the use of an analytical platform for analyses including co-encapsulated cargo quantification, determination of mRNA integrity, and mRNA-lipid adduct quantification
- Analytical chromatography approaches to allow both early process monitoring (pre-capture) and high-resolution separation of multiple AAV species (post-capture) were explored in Session 4, along with a study on AAV tissue tropism from North Carolina State University
