privacy

We at Bioinsights ("us", "we", "our") take data protection and privacy seriously and aim to comply with all applicable data protection regulations and laws. This privacy notice outlines our commitment to protecting your personal data and describes how we collect, use, and share personal information when you explore or utilise our services ("Services").

📋

What data we collect and how we collect it

  • Name, job title, organisation, email address, and other contact information when you register and access content or for a webinar
  • Other contact and location details when you access our services
  • Analytics information when you browse our website
🔍

What we do with the data

This information is used by us to:

  • Contact you by email to draw your attention to new articles, interviews, and other free-access content we believe will interest you
  • Contact you by email to provide you the chance to register for free webinars, and/or send you a strictly limited number of emails from our sponsors (with your consent)

When you register for a webinar, membership campaign, fast fact, or any sponsored content on our website, we may share the information you provide with the associated sponsor — but only if you have opted in. If you do not opt in, they will not contact you.

We also utilise contact details and web/email/survey analytics to perform marketing activities, relying on consent or legitimate interests as appropriate.

We do not sell or pass your information to anyone unless required by law. We only use it to contact you about relevant content and services.

Separately, we may obtain the following on the basis of our legitimate interests:

  • Business contact information from third parties for communicating with potential customers
  • Job application and CV submissions to help you explore working with us
  • Analytics and metrics
🤝

Data sharing and transfers

We do not share or transfer your information with any third parties other than for the purposes of providing Bioinsights with services such as access to our platform, data storage and hosting, customer and prospect management, and analytics. Our subprocessors do not process your information for their own purposes.

Data is only shared with sponsors when you have given explicit opt-in consent.

Any transfers of information sourced from the EEA or UK to outside these regions will only be carried out under adequate and compliant measures, including standard contractual clauses, transfer impact assessments, and sufficient technical and organisational controls.

🔒

Data security and retention

We have put in place robust technical and organisational security measures — including encryption of data at rest and in transit, and need-to-know access controls — to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, accessed without authorisation, altered, or disclosed.

Personal data is only kept as long as necessary to provide the requested services, maintain our customer leads fulfilment, and comply with legal, regulatory, or tax requirements.

For more information on retention specifics, please contact us.
