  • How the team identified optimized recovery and purity of AAV6 capsids from HEK293 cell culture using affinity purification
  • That Tris at pH 7.5 or 9.0 with 1.5 M NaCl followed by a low salt wash resulted in the greatest % recovery (> 85%)
  • That citrate wash buffer resulted in the lowest recovery, but the addition of 0.250 M Arginine improved the recovery by 25-50%

Dr Jenny England is an R&D Manager in the Application group in Purification and Pharma Analytics at Thermo Fisher Scientific. Jenny is a biophysicist by training and earned her PhD from Georgetown University. After graduate school, she did a post doc at the National Cancer Institute that focused on structure-based drug design for protein kinase complexes. Jenny currently leads the application group for process development of the POROS resin products for antibody, mRNA, plasmid, and viral vector purification. Additionally, Jenny evaluates new and emerging technologies that can be applied to solve unmet customer needs in the bioproduction workflow.
