A deep dive into optimizing AAV capture and polishing to maximize both yield and purity

Live30 webinars are thirty-minute presentations designed to update you on the latest innovations, applications, and data in a fast yet interactive format.

As demand for AAV vectors grows, so does the need for scalable and cost-efficient purification processes. It’s critical to maximize both overall yield and removal of impurities, including empty capsids.

To meet these needs, we developed scalable capture and polishing chromatography steps for recombinant AAV (rAAV). The affinity capture step maximizes recovery and efficiently removes impurities.

Join this webinar to:

  • Learn how to optimize affinity capture
  • Discover critical parameters that enhance full and empty capsid separation
  • See polishing data for several rAAV serotypes
  • Explore common challenges and pitfalls – and ways to overcome them

Principal Scientist at Cytiva

Åsa has been with Cytiva based in Uppsala, Sweden, since 2003 and is a downstream and analytics subject matter expert, with a broad and deep understanding of viral vector processing. Due to her long experience and from customer interactions, she has gained insights into common challenges and pitfalls in viral vectors and vaccines as well as general protein purification and analysis.

Åsa earned a PhD in Medical Biochemistry from Uppsala University in 1999 based on research around biosynthesis of proteoglycans. The studies involved polysaccharide structure analysis, enzyme purification, and cloning, as well as characterizing an enzyme reaction.
